Global Warming Shrinking Fish

Posted by Cody Larson On July - 21 - 2009

Marlin FishA study conducted by the Cemagref Public Agricultural and Environmental Research Institute in France is claiming that Global Warming (complete farse) is causing fish in Europe and across the world to shrink in size. It appears that the average body mass is dropping in European fish stocks. The author of the study, Martin Daufresne said that Global Warming has “a significant impact on organisms in general.”

If you are competent, the first thing that should come to your mind when you hear this is commercial fishing. An increase in the human population means an increase in commerical fishing. In commercial fishing you only take home the “keepers” or the larger fish, leaving only the small fish behind. However, it was said that this “cannot be considered as the unique trigger.” Ok, so just ignore the fact that all of the larger fish are being consumed. Global Warming is just shrinking all the fish in the world’s oceans.

As stated above Global Warming is said to have “a significant impact on organisms in general.” Well, if this follows suit, everything is shrinking. Last I checked, obesity is an epidemic and no one around here is shrinking. Rest assured that I am not shrinking either.
